Stage Combat

For Adults

Learn to portray realistic fighting without causing your fellow actors any real harm! You'll work with a professional fight choreographer trained in many different weapons disciplines to create dynamic and visually stunning performances that tell a compelling story.

Everything from a slap across the face to an epic sword fight falls under stage combat. In this workshop, you'll gain experience in both hand-to-hand and sword fighting.

Rachel Gold

Rachel Gold is a Cleveland-based fight choreographer, director, actor, and educator. She currently serves as the Executive Artistic Director of the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival (CSF). Rachel is an actor-combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD), and has taught courses in unarmed, single-sword rapier, knife, and rapier and dagger with Baldwin Wallace University (BWU), Beck Center for the Performing Arts, Academy for the Dramatic Arts, and various masterclasses throughout the Northeastern and Central Ohio area. Her choreography spans many weapon disciplines and has been seen at CSF, Dobama Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Cain Park, French Creek Theatre, BWU, and various community theatres in the greater Cleveland area.
