TPAC is committed to uplifting young artists in our community. Let us help you shine!

REquirements

To qualify for a scholarship, you must be a graduating high school senior who has performed exemplary service in the performing arts and will enter a program of higher learning. You must also turn in:

1. 50 hours of theater experience

Performing or backstage. Each performing role will count as a maximum of 10 hours (ex: 2 roles in 2 productions = 20 hours).

For high school performances to be considered, a program with the student’s name or a letter from the theatre department head is required.

2. 25 non-performing volunteer hours

These hours must be volunteered at TPAC over the course of your high school career. To submit hours, complete this form.

3. A 500-word essay

Write us a 500-word essay describing how your experiences in theater have prepared you for a successful future.

4. Your application packet

Fill out this application packet, and mail to TPAC:

Shine on Stage

If you thrive in the spotlight, each role you perform—either lead or supporting—counts for 10 of 50 required hours of theatre experience. Turn in a program featuring your name or a letter from your theatre department head to get credit.

Behind the Scenes

If your talents help you excel backstage, earn your 50 hours with production roles like stage crew, stage managing, makeup crew, and more! Turn in a program featuring your name or a letter from your theater department head to get credit.

Volunteer

You must also volunteer at least 25 hours with TPAC over the course of your high school career. Any non-paid, non-performing involvement counts—and we’re also counting hours earned at the Theatre Factory! You can usher, paint, help with lights or sound, and more! Be sure to fill out this form to get credit!

Applications are due by April 30 each year.

Applications will be evaluated by a panel of Trafford Performing Arts Center personnel.

Recipients will be notified by phone, email, and/or certified mail.
