A Mighty Medieval Musical
Join Us for our Renaissance-themed musical theater class & production! Complete with jousting knights, delightful damsels, and court jesters, this eight-week class will teach young actors everything they need to know to put on a fully-staged production, from the audition process to dress rehearsals and the final performance.
Tuition includes student script, show t-shirt, costume, musical theater instruction, and production experience. Classes include auditions and everyone gets a part!
*Due to the amount of material covered each week, absence is discouraged. Absence during auditions, dress/tech rehearsals and performances must be discussed with director prior to auditions.
Katya Shaffer
Workshop Instructor
Katya R. Shaffer has been involved in the Theatre World for over three decades, two of which have been in and around Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in both Theatre Performance and Scenic Design from Seton Hill University. She has acted, designed and directed for numerous theatres in the Pittsburgh area including Apple Hill Playhouse, Greensburg Civic Theatre, and most recently The Theatre Factory. She has taught theatrical classes for the Greensburg Museum of Art Summer Program, Pitt Greensburg, and Norwin Home Schoolers as well as private acting classes for ages 10 and up.
