New Name, Same Mission

When the Theatre Factory Board of Directors voted by narrow majority to move their organization across the county to New Kensington, we knew we couldn’t leave Penn-Trafford without a community theater.

Thus, the Trafford Performing Arts Center was born. We’re a group of faces you’ll recognize, dedicated to offering our community continued access to the performing arts.

We understand that for many local families, it’s not possible to travel that extra distance for extracurriculars on a busy school night. We want to make sure that your young actors still have a home to grow their skills and confidence, step outside their comfort zone, and make magical memories with their friends both onstage and off.

As the Theatre Factory and KidWorks move on to their new community in September 2026, we wish them all the best, and we want to reassure you: we’re taking over operations in Penn-Trafford. The Trafford Performing Arts Center is excited to bring you the same workshops, camps, and performance opportunities that you’ve come to know and love.
